ETW's new Associate Artists

From Electric Theatre Workshop

Our New Associate Artists have been chosen for 2014/15 - and here is a short introduction to them. They will be based in our building in Dumfries - but you will see them out on the road throughout Dumfries & Galloway.

(L-R) Dillon Corlthart, Kieran Maclagan,  Jay Ali and Natalie Dodge
Dillon Colthart Dumfries
You might recognise Dillon from some of other programmes. He will be leading Dumfries & Galloway Youth Theatre, which is our Young People's company for 15-25's. He will also be supporting Burns Night Carnival in January. He will also be the Make Performance Artist - so expect to see what he comes up with at this year's Festival.

Jay Ali Dumfries
Jay has been with us for two years as a young person in Dumfries Youth Theatre and this year he will be taking part as one of the National Theatre Connections Directors, and he will be leading Dumfries Youth Theatre 14+ to create this year's piece which is a stunning new Scottish piece called Follow, Follow. He will also be supporting the brand new Le Haggis show in January.

Natalie Dodge Dumfries
Another of our Youth Theatre participants is stepping up and she will be helping to lead the massive Dumfries Community Choir - as well as our very special Dumfries Youth Theatre 5-8's. She will also be supporting the brand new Hamish the Haggis show in January.

Kieran Maclagan Dumfries
Kieran has made appearances in some of our biggest shows over the last two years. This year he will be leading our Dumfries Youth Theatre 9-13 group and taking them through a brand new production which will be presented in May. He will also be supporting the Creative Schools projects in North West Dumfries.

Kirsty Pickering Dalbeattie
Kirsty was studying at Carlisle College previously on the BTEC Performing Arts Course. She will be supporting our Burns Night Carnival.

Annual fundraiser Awards

Takes place on Saturday 4th October at The Club in Lochside and will feature a breadth of our performance projects over the past year. Tickets are priced £15 each and include raffle tickets and finger buffet. The show starts at 7.30pm and access is restricted to our participants who are over 18 due to licensing restrictions. However parents of our young people are actively encouraged to attend. Tickets are available from our Reception. This year the Awards will be hosted by Andrea Thomson and Lee Medd from Alive Radio and will feature a host of local artists and guests who will help us celebrate the last year.
