The ever topical, relevant and all around excellent Crichton Conversations continues with a talk by Creative Scotland's Director of Creative Development Venu Dhupa
The Importance of the Arts in a Changing World - Venu Dhupa FRSA

Easterbrook Hall, Crichton University Campus, Dumfries.

Venu Dhupa is a cultural activist, working in the field of cultural policy and development.  As Director of Creative Development at Creative Scotland, she is responsible for the development of touring festivals, dance, theatre, visual arts and international and cultural exports. 

Since its inception Creative Scotland has made a major commitment to the development of Art and the Environment and this will be central to Venu’s lecture.  This is particularly timely, occurring as it does on the eve of the Year of Natural Scotland 2013 and the 1st International Festival of Environment Arts, which will be curated in Dumfries and Galloway next year.
