Creative Scotland - Year One - the verdict

I have been asked to give evidence to a meeting of the Culture and Education Committee of the Scottish Parliament to assist them in looking into 'Creative Scotland - One Year On'. The other folk  giving evidence are Centre for Contemporary Arts (Glasgow), Creative Scotland and Shetland Arts Development Agency.
I'd really like to use this opportunity to further the arts in D+G - if anyone has anything they would like to contribute please either comment on this post or email me

I'm thinking that the most useful contributions will be positive changes that CS can make (this committee will make recommendations to the Culture Secretary) - ie how can CS better support the arts in D+G.....

  1. You might like to ask Mr Dixon, what creative decisions were taken when CS decided to partner with STV to finance a celebrity cooking show? What cultural impact will this have on the South of Scotland and are they planning on partnering with STV on yet another celebrity attic raking/antique programme?

  2. Just to clarify - I was asked to contribute because of my role in Inverness. I just figured it was an unmissable opportunity to bring a bit of D+G to proceedings as well.
