Arts Sector Hub Meetings

Those of you who have been attending the recent development meetings towards a new organisational structure in te Arts in D+G will know that the plan is set up 5 Hub groups to support the different geographic regions and feed their opinions/ideas/requirements into a central body that can act as an advocate/fundraiser for the whole region.

There will be Hubs based in Wigtownshire, Stewartry, Nithsdale and Annandale and the fifth Hub will represent the organisations that work all across the region.

The inaugural meetings of the Hubs is planned for January - people attending the recent open-session at the Robert Burns Centre put their names down to attend these sessions and should be receiving details of proposed dates in the near future....it is an important principle that these meetings are open to everyone with an interest in the arts in their area - The Commonty will do our best to spread the word about the sessions as we hear of them.

The first of these meetings that we are aware of is the Region-Wide Hub which plans to meet on the morning of 19th January - if you are part of an organisation that is active right across D+G and would like to attend - please contact

If you know of dates for any of the other Hub sessions please add a comment to this post with the details, so that we can ensure that the message gets out as far and as quickly as possible
